Ahobilam – The Sacred Abode

Ahobilam is a highly revered pilgrimage center nestled in the lush Nallamala Hills of Andhra Pradesh. Known as the 'Nava Narasimha Kshetram,' it is the only place where Lord Narasimha is worshipped in nine distinct forms, spread across the upper and lower hills.

The profound spiritual energy, combined with the breathtaking natural beauty of dense forests and ancient paths, makes Ahobilam a truly unique destination. According to legends, this is the very place where Lord Vishnu took the fierce half-lion, half-human avatar to protect his devotee Prahlada.

Our hotel is conveniently located near the temple complex, offering a serene, comfortable, and highly accessible base for your spiritual journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about visiting Ahobilam and staying with us.

1. How much time does it take to visit all Nava Narasimha temples?

It typically takes 2 full days to complete the darshan of all 9 temples. Day 1 is usually dedicated to Lower Ahobilam and nearby accessible temples, while Day 2 requires trekking in Upper Ahobilam to visit Ugra Stambham, Jwala, and Pavana Narasimha temples.

2. Is trekking required? Can elders and children do it?

Yes, trekking is mandatory for a few temples in Upper Ahobilam. Lower Ahobilam temples are easily accessible by road. For difficult treks like Ugra Stambham and Jwala Narasimha, it might be tough for elders and young children. However, local Doli services (palanquins) are available for hire.

3. Which mobile networks work best in Ahobilam?

Ahobilam is situated in a dense forest area (Nallamala hills). Currently, BSNL and Jio networks work reasonably well. Other networks like Airtel and Vi may have poor or no connectivity, especially in Upper Ahobilam.

4. Are local transport and food facilities available?

Yes. Local Mahindra Jeeps are available for hire to reach temples located deep in the forest (like Pavana and Bhargava Narasimha). For food, basic vegetarian meals are available at local eateries, and Nitya Annadanam (free meals) is provided by the Devasthanam and local Mutts.

5. Do the rooms have AC and hot water facilities?

Yes! both AC and Non-AC room options are available. All rooms are equipped with attached bathrooms and geysers for 24/7 hot water to ensure a comfortable stay after your trekking.
